Kelly Greene Album Launch Preparations - April 5, 2008

After a fantastic time recording at Seventh Wave Studios with Jason Rubal, we at Kelly Greene, Inc. are getting down to the business of getting this album out for everyone to hear. The shoot for the album cover, with photographer Adriane Hornung, is taking place this weekend and we're excited to see the creative come to life. It's very exciting to see the next evolution of Kelly and her music come together. We don't want to give away all the fun stuff yet, but what we can tell you is that this next release is a kick-ass rock album full of great songs. If you liked the first album, you're going to be blown away by the next one. Stay tuned...

Banjo Jim's/Newville Sessions Thanks - April 4, 2008

We were lucky enough to be a part of the Newville Sessions again this past Thursday at Banjo Jim's in NYC and once again, we are so impressed with the talented songwriters and performers we get to share a mic with each time we participate. Thanks to Brooke Lundy for spear-heading such a great idea and bringing together just the right group of people. We'll be back next month on May 1st to be a part of the session again.

Kelly Greene Starts Production on Second Album - March 1, 2008

Kelly Greene has been writing furiously for the past two months in preparation for her next record. The singer-songwriter's second release promises to deliver an amazing rock album as she joins forces with producer Jason Rubal (Dresden Dolls, Heirosonic) to sharpen the edge and turn up the heat. Always edgy, sometimes vulnerable, Greene will no doubt woo us with her lofty range and unique timbre. Set to finish recording in late March, fans and virgins can expect a summer 2008 release.

These tracks are in great hands and we can't wait to see the results from this deal.

Kelly Greene Signs Seven Song Licensing Deal - September 27, 2007

In addition to the track "Empty Handed" licensed in late August by Octobertunes, six more of Kelly's songs off of the album You Leave Me Here have been added to the deal. It's a very exciting time to be added to the roster as networks are under-the-gun to place great new music in this Fall's episodes. Here's to hoping we hear one of these tracks in the background on prime time soon.

Kelly Greene Signs Film/TV Licensing Deal - September 8, 2007

It's official. Late in August 2007, Kelly Greene signed a non-exclusive licensing deal for her song Empty Handed with Octobertunes, a Canadian publishing company with an excellent track record. You've heard their placements in many areas, some of the more recognized being two popular American TV series "Dawson's Creek" and "Party of Five."

Quick Update - August 8, 2007

It's been a while since we've posted any news, but we don't consider what we have going on behind the scenes news unless it's a done deal, so we'll continue to keep you in suspense for a bit. However, we are more than happy to tell you that we are working on our FALL 2007 acoustic show schedule and will be announcing dates once we get them settled with the venues we are discussing details with. We're excited about doing these smaller more intimate shows for our fans and soon-to-be-fans (Come on, who can resist a chick with a guitar!). You'll even get a sneak peak of some of the new songs that have not been released yet. How's that for suspense?

May 25th Show Thanks & Guitar Winner - May 26, 2007

As always, we want to send out a huge thank you to all of our fans who came out to last nights show and of course, thanks to The Chance for having us as an opener on the bill. We had a special guitar giveaway for all those who purchased a copy of You Leave Me Here at The Chance last night and drew the winner at the end of the show. Congratulations to Scott Roeber who walked away with a beautiful Gretsch in his arms. I think she likes him as much as he likes her :)

March 17th Showcase Thank You's - March 18, 2007

We had a great time last night playing for our guests at the Gibson Entertainment Showroom. None of this would have been possible if not for the generosity of Gibson and more specifically Norena Barbella - thank you for everything! Enough of the serious talk and onto the fun stuff. Be forewarned, the following paragraph is filled with not-so-subliminal thank you's and shout outs for both the official and unofficial support.

Immediately after the "Don't Leave Me Alone" music video premiered, Kelly, Jon, John & Marc opened the set with a hard-hitting live version of Woe Is Me, and immediately felt the thrill of playing in a such a fantastic space. The setting couldn't have been more perfect with fans up close and delicious hors d'ouvres, served by Patrick Horrigan and his crew, just a few feet away. Guests hung tight with the band through out the performance moving only a few feet away to grab a bottle of Sam Adams (Thanks Dave!), or any of the many Pepsi products displayed so beautifully at the bar. Getting to hang out with the family, friends, fans and newly-earned fans from this St. Patrick's day gig, was one of the best parts of the night. Well, heck, the whole night was the best. On that note, we want to thank everyone for coming and all the staff that we had on hand as part of "team Greene." You talents, time and effort are much appreciated. Oh, and yes, we will post pictures of the event as soon as we have them available.

January 20th Show Thank You's - January 21, 2007

First of all we want to thank all our fans and friends for coming out to the show at Barnes and Noble this past Saturday. It was great to perform for all of you - we really appreciate your support. Many thanks to Barnes & Noble Poughkeepsie for being the first retailer to carry our CD and for having us in to perform. It was a lot of fun! Special thanks to Nick, B&N Music Manager, for being such a great help with everything and the rest of the associates we tasked with little things. Last, but not least, thanks to our insta-road-crew, Dan & Jackie, and the amazing Donn Lord, our sound man, for saving all of our ear drums from the feedback demon. We can't wait to do it again!

You Leave Me Here SOLD OUT at CDBaby! - January 13, 2007

A great big thanks to all my fans both old and new! We've already sold out at CD Baby, but not to worry, the CD will be in stock again on Friday, January 5, 2007, so hang in there - you're only two days away from being able to get your copy online. If you click through to buy on this website, CD Baby will give you the option to order yours in advance and it will be sent as soon as they have it. Thanks again for your support. As always, my fans are the best!

January 20th Show Coming Up - January 13, 2007

Just a reminder to everyone out there that our next show is in Poughkeepsie, NY at the Barnes & Noble on Route 9. Check out our show page for details. For those of you who are not familiar with the way Barnes and Noble fits in their musical guests, we will be performing in the cafe area. Due to the space restrictions, there will not be a full band, however, it will be a fully electric performance, so don't come expecting to see me sitting on a stool singing all by my lonesome with an acoustic guitar. The band members that can't be with us due to shortage of room will be perfectly represented by their studio backing tracks along with myself and Jonathan Dale on guitar and of course, live vocals. So come on down and enjoy, we're excited to perform for you!
